MY THREE FAVORITE ALUMINUM FREE DEODORANTS

Since Aluminum has been associated with a variety of health issues (including breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease), many of us are opting for deodorants that are Aluminum free.

But before we understand what to look for in a deodorant, it's important to know the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant.

Deodorants are meant to neutralize odor by killing the bacteria that causes it or by simply masking it. Antiperspirants, on the other hand, block the sweat glands in order to prevent perspiring in the first place. The problem with many antiperspirants is that they contain harsh chemicals like aluminum, which absorb into the skin. From a nature standpoint, it makes more sense to use deodorants.

Sometimes I use this one too and I like it a lot because it has a nice fresh fragrance to it and it’s as well under $10, but I find that when I sweat a lot, especially during a work out, it doesn’t work as well as the Chrystal stick.

This is another favorite of mine. I love its fragrance, but it’s a bit more expensive (over $10) and you need to be careful because it can leave white streaks on your tops.
